Research work currently ongoing at the IVT in Zurich is aiming to go a step further in providing algorithmic support for scheduling.

Experimental studies show promising results for the use in local support for scheduling of the algorithms that have been developed in the framework of current and earlier research. The research is now turning its focus to the methods for coordinating scheduling in neighbouring parts or the network.
